I am a fan of Drew Carey and agree that it is nonsense to ignore the pagan roots of our holidays. That is why I embrace paganism and observe not Christmas but the Winter Solstice and Celtic Samhain instead of Halloween.
As a Libertarian I am Pro Choice on every issue.
It is unlikely that the US Supreme Court will ever overturn Roe vs. Wade.
Having said that and being a supporter of abortion rights, I think it should not be a Federal decision any way, each State should decide what its people think is right.

i was reading popular science and i staggered across a line that suggested that russia had never landed men on the moon.
that struck me as blatantly false, i knew i'd seen footage of cosmonauts on the moon.
The real reason the US landed men on the Moon and the Soviets didn't was that our German Nazi scientists were better then their German Nazi scientists.
the atheists have done a pretty good job on me, i am just about to cast my lot in with them after all the reading and debating on the issue.
they just seem to have all the answers and appear to hold the intellectual high ground, they do a good job of making one feel like a complete idiot for believing in a god, much less the christian version.
so now that i am almost free of this delusional, magical thinking, religious burden of foolishly believing in a god and that there is anymore to life than what is right here how do i feel?
As long as I live my life for myself and do the best I can with what I've got it does not make me sad to know that when I die that is the end.

If you have not read "Crisis of Conscience" or "In Search of Christian Freedom" by former Governing Body member Ray Franz I highly recommend them both. Those books helped me a great deal when I left Jehovah's Witnesses.
